ISLAND EXPEDITION
Whilst voyaging across the Indian Ocean, our survivors came across an island that couldn’t be found on any of their maps. They realise that this could be an undiscovered island, and that finding and sharing it with the rest of the world could be HUGE, not to mention what they could find there. An Island Paradise? Buried Treasure?
During this ‘’too good to be true’’ adventure, expedition leaders (Ultimate Survival Instructors) warn the survivors that they may not be the only ones to know of this island, and as a result, they’ll need to learn to defend themselves, and be prepared for a pirate invasion that could strike at any time….
What will they learn?
In order to share this potentially ground-breaking discovery, they must first explore the island and all it has to offer. Over the course of the week, survivors will learn to make camp on a desert island by building shelters and raised bunks to sleep on. They’ll learn to forage, cook, and even make their own resources from the island such as making rope and fishing spears!

You will see on the timetable above that we have a number of new activities as part of our Island Expedition programme for 2025, bringing the theme to life and offering new challenges to children who have attended in the past. Just look for 🌟 activities!
🌟 Slacklining challenges: Balance, perseverance, and technique will be put to the test with various slackline challenges where survivors will work together to complete the course.
🌟 Island escape room: Follow the clues, answer the questions and break the code to escape.
🌟 Raft building: To plan their escape from the island, survivors will create miniature rafts and put them to the test.
🌟Pirate scavenger hunt: Using clues, tips, and instructions to find the pirate artifacts!
🌟 Island spirits: Using clay and other natural resources, survivalists will create faces of the island spirits & gods, describing their elaborate back stories and earning extra points for creativity, voices, and elaborate tales!
🌟 Water filtration task: Exploring different methods of filtering water in an outdoor environment.
